Goods receipt is the process of recording received goods against a purchase order and updating stock. This process should work in integration with order and inventory modules.
Goods receipt record: Quantity received, date, and warehouse/location are entered per order line. Partial delivery is supported; open line quantity is updated automatically.
Stock update: When goods receipt is approved, a stock entry movement is created automatically in the relevant warehouse. Stock levels stay current and sales/production planning use correct data.
